It has been more than 52 years since the first time the CMT Music Awards has came into existence; this is a rite through which the audience is the judge choosing their favourites. The gravity of the event did not just manifest in the runners-up who took home one medal each but rather enforced itself on Sunday night’s with luminaries such as Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, and Megan Moroney winning three nominations each—making Jelly Roll the champion in all three categories. Ballerini resumed her emcee role to guide the course of action with a peaceful and glorious aura at the glorious Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
Who’s Hosting the CMT Music Awards This Year!
With whom would you share the honor of the CMT Awards platform as its host? The duty was no longer upon Opry, but instead, it was for Kelsey Blealini — otherwise referred to as the artist who also stood a chance in three other categories, itself. As she has been since the 2016 staging, she was again the face of the event. This year was her solo opportunity at hosting as she had done this for the last three editions.

For that year, “that journey will make me so ecstatic” is Ballerini’s personal motto. “Between 2017 and 2020, I played the part of the hostess all by her lonesome for the entire run of this contest, this makes me an expert in handling all the dynamic factors involved.”
I’m excited about becoming myself and seeing that the new album is coming out, I want to present my music from a place of love and happiness, the paradox of my writing, that is that I write sad lyrics, while being happy.” With her new album coming out, Ballerini prepared by writing from the place of her heart and passion, while facing the paradox, “that comes with melodic ballads: my forte Yet even there, during the happiest moments, I get poetic with this kind of lyrics running through my head: “Whether I smile or I cry, I find my solace in writing my soulful ballads,” she thought.
