Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj, born on October 10, 1946, in Sadalga, Karnataka, emerged as the most renowned saint in the Digambar Jain community. Embracing spirituality from a young age, he was initiated as a Digambara monk by Acharya Gyansagar Ji Maharaj at 22 in 1968 and elevated to the Acharya status in 1972.
