Wipro and Nokia Unveil Cutting-Edge 5G Networking Solution for Corporate Entities
In a collaborative effort, Wipro Ltd and Nokia Corporation have introduced an exclusive 5G wireless resolution, aiming to facilitate the digital evolution of enterprises.
This groundbreaking offering is initially targeted towards entities engaged in the realms of manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and sports entertainment, as disclosed by Wipro in a statement released on Monday.
Wipro and Nokia Unite for Accelerated Enterprise 5G Integration
The synergy between Wipro and Nokia manifests in the amalgamation of enterprise 5G private network solutions with their operational infrastructure. This integration is poised to accelerate connectivity speeds for enterprises, granting them instantaneous access to crucial business data. Moreover, it is designed to empower the processing of substantial data volumes with minimal latency, according to the official communication.
Building upon the foundation of a private wireless network, corporations opting for the 5G network can establish an all-encompassing private environment. This environment is instrumental in overseeing performance metrics while concurrently mitigating security apprehensions, as detailed in the statement.
Wipro emphasizes that the swiftness and security intrinsic to this new technology, complemented by AI-driven automation, stand to elevate operational efficiencies for businesses.
Nokia, the Finnish multinational, contributes its Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC), an exclusive private wireless solution encompassing 4G LTE and 5G coverage. Additionally, it introduces Modular Private Wireless (MPW), an in-house 5G-ready solution empowering users to construct and implement private network solutions. This comprehensive package encompasses both hardware and software components.
Wipro, as India’s fourth-largest IT services provider, extends strategic guidance to enterprises for seamlessly integrating these systems. This guidance is facilitated through its innovation center based in Austin, specializing in 5G solutions, and the OTNxt Platform. The latter is Wipro’s end-to-end managed service, enveloping the entire spectrum of operational technology and Internet of Things (IoT) systems.
Jo Debecker, Global Head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, the company’s cloud computing service, expressed, “Traditional infrastructures are being stretched, impacting business value and, in some instances, human lives through emerging areas such as remote-controlled robotic surgery. We take pride in our partnership with Nokia to address this pressing business need and offer a pathway for enterprises to harness wireless private networks for swift digitization, accessing real-time insights to fulfill their ambitions.”
This collaborative venture is poised to unleash novel capabilities, enhancing connectivity and imbuing businesses across diverse sectors with AI-driven operational efficiencies. Stephan Litjens, Vice President of Enterprise Campus Edge Solutions at Nokia, articulated in the release that this partnership is a catalyst propelling businesses to the forefront of innovation.
